...................................Prayer...................................
Blessed are You,
eternal God,
King of the universe:
You have called us in Jesus to be Your beloved people,
living pure and blameless lives in Your sight.
Bless this family who ask for Your grace.
Let Your Spirit guide their words and deeds,
so that their light may shine before all
and lead all who know them to give You praise.
May their home be filled with the spirit of love,
with the obedience of faith,
and the strength of hope.
Make their lives happy in Your service,
and bring them in Your love to your eternal home.
Father all-holy,
we praise Your Name,
and ask this blessing through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

...Family News
My almost 11 year
old twins, Cade and Connor, are now
altar
servers. Their grandmother, still very much feeling the
effects of all the chemo she has gone through recently, made it to their
first Mass and watched with tears in her eyes. Just to see her so
happy, of course, made my heart swell even more. They've been
serving for just over a month now and have had a few mishaps here and
there...tripping, dropping the host, kneeling at the wrong time,
standing at the wrong time but I'm sure that they will do better as time
goes on. They really didn't have any extensive training, just one
meeting before starting, as Father believes in the on-the-job approach
of learning. They served their first
40 Hours Devotion Mass and did fairly well at that too.
*smile*
Momma just
finished her 4th round of chemo and still has 2 more to go. They
lowered her dosage to half as the chemo was literally burning her skin.
Her trip to her Urologist brought some more bad news...the bladder
cancer seems to have grown back. Again, please, please keep her in
your prayers.
Michael
continues with his
RCIA
studies. He has been accepted into
Loyola and will
start working toward his MBA this coming semester.
Autumn, my absolute favorite season, is here though I haven't really
had much outside time to savor it as
colds and viruses are now flourishing throughout our family.
My sister, Colleen, and brother-in-law, Greg, threw their annual
Harvest Party, complete with good eats and a hayride and we all,
especially the kids, had a wonderful time. We also had a lot of
fun at our parish Halloween party and Trick or Treating on Halloween
night was perfect with temps in the 60's and clear skies.
The
holiday season is almost upon us...lots of good reasons to Thank the
Dear Lord for all the many
blessings He has bestowed upon us. |
