A Christmas Prayer

Loving Father,
Help us remember the birth of Jesus,
that we may share in the song of the angels,
the gladness of the shepherds,
and worship of the wise men.
Close the door of hate
and open the door of love all over the world.
Let kindness come with every gift
and good desires with every greeting.
Deliver us from evil by the blessing
which Christ brings,
and teach us to be merry with clear hearts.
May the Christmas morning
make us happy to be Thy children,
and Christmas evening bring us to our beds
with grateful thoughts, forgiving and forgiven,
for Jesus' sake.
Amen.

...Holiday Blessings and
Prayers
Please keep my Momma in your prayers.
On the 3rd of November she had an operation and the surgeons removed 2
tumors from her bladder. Both were cancerous.
If
you are feeling a little blue this holiday season remember the joys of
giving to those less fortunate. It really can make a difference if
you become disenchanted with the commercial aspect of Christmas.
Check your church for programs offering assistance. If you don't
attend a church, check your local community newspapers for
people making a
difference in your
community helping others during this holiday season. Clothes
and toys for the little ones, food for hungry
families
and body creams and warm socks for the elderly in nursing homes are
always needed and greatly appreciated.
Don't forget our loved
ones
overseas. Boxes of goodies sent out now won't reach our troops
in time but would make a nice after Christmas surprise.
