Dear Lord,

Watch over my little and not so little ones.  I prayed for a soul to love and nurture and You have blessed me so richly with my four beautiful boys.  I thank You for my many blessings.  I love You, Lord.

...Taking your Time Growing Up

I love all of my boys so very much but my littlest one, Quinn, is my special guy.  Quinn was born with Down syndrome and with his extra chromosome comes mental retardation and low muscle tone.  Quinn is very bright and has fairly good muscle tone, not like yours or mine, but good and is always a very busy little boy, either playing with his toys, reading his books or playing with his brothers.  He's loving, stubborn, grouchy in the morning and absolutely adorable.

Because of his slowness I am able to enjoy his developmental stages for prolonged periods of time.   I've always wished that my boys wouldn't grow up too quickly and with Quinn my wishes came true.
